Haematology

Routine Haematology is responsible for high through-put routine testing including Full Blood CountErythrocyte Sedimentation Rate and Infectious Mononucleosis Screening. Routine Haematology reviews blood smears for abnormalities commonly seen in various Haematological and non Haematological disorders. Malaria Screening and species identification are also performed.
 
PathWest Haematology provides dedicated neonatal, paediatric and complex antenatal services not provided elsewhere in Western Australia. The organisation is also the Haemoglobinopathy reference centre and primary Humanitarian entrant health screening provider in Western Australia.
