Quality Management
PathWest embraces the philosophy that quality is integral to everything we do. We employ a quality management system that strives for continuing quality improvement in all areas that impact our testing. This includes a comprehensive schedule of internal and external audits and participation in proficiency testing programs provided by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) and other providers.
Accreditations
Our testing facilities are accredited by the following organisations:
- National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)
International standards ISO 15189 (Medical Testing) and ISO/IEC 17025 (Biological Testing) including Media Preparation and Forensic Biology
- Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
Sterility testing of pharmaceutical products, serological testing of human tissue and cell therapy donations, microbial contamination testing of human tissue and cell therapy donations, products and in-house In Vitro Devices (IVD) used for human diagnosis and treatment.

Approved Arrangements, BC1, BC2 and BC3 microbiological
