Laboratory Information System (LIS) Updates
Status update
The new LIS is now live at all collection centres and hospitals. All modules are live except for Forensic Pathology which is expected to go live in 2021.
Background
As part of the digital transformation of healthcare in Western Australia, PathWest has replaced its current laboratory information systems (LIS) and databases with a single, contemporary system. The new system will lead to faster turnaround times and is one of the most significant improvements to WA’s public pathology services in 30 years.
The new LIS is now live at all hospitals and collection centres across Western Australia.
