Digital Transformation of Healthcare in WA

Pathology is one of the most important services provided to Western Australians by the public health system, with more than 16 million tests performed annually.  More than 70 per cent of clinical decisions and 100 per cent of cancer diagnoses rely on fast, accurate pathology, and the range of available tests continues to grow.

A pilot of the new Laboratory Information System (LIS) commenced at the end of February 2020 in Bentley and Busselton Hospital laboratories and associated collection centres and it is now live in all sites.
