Congratulations to our Employee of the Season Makuru 2023 winner

Mr Aaron Mowe, Employee of the Season Makuru 2023
04/08/2023

Aaron Mowe has worked with PathWest for over 18 years in multiple roles.

Currently a Laboratory Technician at the Media Manufacturing Facility, FSH Microbiology, Aaron is someone who always steps up to fill a need as he selflessly commits time to deal with impromptu issues and ensure the workplace runs smoothly, safely and efficiently as possible.

Aaron is a great example of an employee embracing and living the PathWest values. He understands the vital role the Media Manufacturing Facility plays in ensuring our laboratory services are maintained to support the health of the WA community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the facility was producing many litres of virus transport medium not only for PathWest but also for private laboratories state-wide and internationally (New York City). Aaron was instrumental in ensuring the rapid increase in product was achieved and delivered at a high standard.

Impressively multi-tasking and troubleshooting, Aaron’s ability to rapidly assess situations, and rearrange rosters according to skill set ensures the day’s work is completed. Aaron has particularly good communications and networking skills – beneficial to the facility in organising urgent engineering fixes like a leaking roof over the cold room or the steam boiler not operating – both of which could have huge implications to the facility and the service.

The nominator shares ‘Aaron is a humble person and this positive form of affirmation, recognition and celebrated appreciation of his efforts would be a fitting acknowledgement for all that he does for the Media Manufacturing Facility and PathWest’s laboratory service.’

Congratulations Aaron! Thank you for your ongoing commitment and dedication in improving the health, wellbeing and safety of our communities, demonstrating the PathWest values and making a difference every day.

Aaron will receive a certificate and $150 voucher courtesy of our Staff Recognition Program sponsors Paywise and HESTA.
