Delay in NMDA receptor antibody testing

We have been recently informed of a several week delay in the production of the NMDA receptor antibody test. We have been in close contact with the manufacturers, who have advised that tests will become available in the coming weeks.

At this stage, we are hoping to resume routine testing within the next three to four weeks. We do have some limited tests available; these will be restricted to patients in whom there is a high clinical suspicion and urgent clinical need. If this is the case then please contact the Immunopathology Registrar at PathWest QEII, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, to discuss.
