Electron Microscopy
The Electron Microscopy discipline provides ultrastructural analysis of difficult neoplastic and non-neoplastic disorders, including various renal, muscle and brain diseases. The laboratory employs both scanning and transmission electron microscopy techniques, including energy dispersive analysis of x-rays for elemental identification. In addition, basic histochemical and immunocytochemical methodologies are applied when appropriate.
