Dr Ming Chai and Dr Simon Kavanagh appointed as Acting Chief Pathologists in a dual-acting arrangement. 16 June 2026 PathWest proudly celebrates the appointments of senior pathologists Dr Ming Chai and Dr Simon Kavanagh as Acting Chief Pathologists. This dual-acting arrangement ensures PathWest benefits from enhanced depth of leadership while allowing both exceptional medical professionals to maintain their vital clinical practices. Dr Ming Chai will commence the first six-month rotation on 20 July 2026, followed by Dr Simon Kavanagh in January 2027. PathWest will launch a formal recruitment process for the permanent Chief Pathologist position towards the end of the final term.
